Service Conditions

Effective Date: September 22, 2026
Website: drcleanatl.com

These Service Conditions explain the conditions required for Dr Clean to safely and effectively perform residential cleaning services. They are part of the Dr Clean Terms of Service.

1. Scope of the Cleaning

Your cleaning includes the services shown in the booking flow, service description, confirmation, and any add-ons you select or separately approve.

Tasks that are not shown as included in the booked service are not automatically included. If you request additional work, Dr Clean may provide an additional price or decline the request if it cannot reasonably be completed during the appointment.

2. Property Information and Condition

Our booking and pricing process may rely on property information from public or commercial sources together with information you provide. You are responsible for reviewing material property details presented during booking and notifying us if they are substantially inaccurate.

If the property is materially larger, more heavily soiled, more cluttered, or otherwise materially different from the condition reasonably contemplated by the booked service, the cleaning professional is not required to complete work beyond the booked scope. Dr Clean may offer an adjusted scope or price, reschedule the service, or decline work that cannot reasonably be completed as booked.

3. Access to the Home

You are responsible for providing safe and reliable access at the scheduled service time.

Access may be provided through an unlocked door, key, lockbox, smart lock, door code, concierge, or another method agreed to during booking. You are responsible for ensuring that access instructions are accurate and that any required gate, building, parking, or alarm instructions are provided in advance.

If a cleaning professional cannot reasonably access the property, the Cancellation Policy may apply.

4. Utilities and Basic Working Conditions

The property must have the utilities and conditions reasonably necessary to perform residential cleaning, including working electricity and running water unless Dr Clean expressly agrees otherwise.

Indoor temperature, ventilation, lighting, and other conditions must be reasonably safe for a person performing physical work inside the home.

5. Clutter and Personal Items

For the best result, customers should remove excessive clutter and personal items from surfaces and floors before service. Cleaning professionals may clean around ordinary household items, but they are not required to organize large amounts of personal property, determine where personal items belong, or move excessive clutter in order to reach surfaces.

Areas that cannot reasonably be accessed because of clutter may be skipped.

6. Heavy, Fragile, or High-Value Items

Cleaning professionals are not required to lift or move heavy furniture, appliances, equipment, or other items that cannot be safely moved by one person using ordinary care.

Before service, secure or identify unusually fragile, unstable, irreplaceable, sentimental, collectible, or high-value items. Customers should also secure cash, jewelry, medications, important documents, firearms, and other valuables or sensitive items.

Dr Clean may decline to clean or move items that appear unstable, damaged, improperly mounted, or unusually fragile.

7. Pets

Pets may remain in the home only if they can safely coexist with the cleaning service. Customers are responsible for securing animals that are aggressive, highly anxious, likely to escape, or likely to interfere with the cleaning.

Please disclose any known pet-related safety concern or special access instruction before the appointment.

A cleaning professional may decline to enter or may stop service if an animal creates a reasonable safety risk. The Cancellation Policy may apply if service cannot be performed because a pet was not appropriately secured.

8. Hazardous or Unsafe Conditions

Dr Clean provides ordinary residential cleaning and is not a hazardous-material, remediation, pest-control, crime-scene, or biohazard service.

Unless Dr Clean has expressly agreed in advance, cleaning professionals are not required to handle or clean conditions involving:

  • Human or animal waste beyond ordinary incidental household cleaning.
  • Blood, bodily fluids, needles, sharps, or other biohazards.
  • Active mold remediation or substantial mold growth.
  • Active pest or insect infestations.
  • Hazardous chemicals, unknown substances, or toxic materials.
  • Drug paraphernalia or illegal substances.
  • Crime-scene conditions.
  • Fire, flood, sewage, or major water-damage remediation.
  • Construction debris or conditions requiring specialized post-construction remediation.
  • Any condition that the cleaning professional reasonably believes creates a health or safety risk.

If a hazardous or unsafe condition is discovered, the cleaning professional may skip the affected area, stop the service, or leave the property. Dr Clean will determine the appropriate billing or rescheduling outcome based on the circumstances.

9. Ladders, Heights, and Exterior Work

Cleaning professionals are not required to perform work at unsafe heights or use customer-provided ladders or equipment that they consider unsafe.

Exterior cleaning, exterior windows, roofs, gutters, pressure washing, and other exterior or specialty work are not included unless expressly offered and selected as part of the booked service.

10. Specialty Tasks and Add-Ons

Tasks such as inside refrigerators, inside ovens, inside cabinets, interior windows, laundry, dishes, organization, wall washing, or other specialty services are included only when they are expressly shown as part of the booked service or selected as an add-on.

Availability of any add-on may vary by property, appointment, or cleaning professional.

11. Delicate or Specialty Surfaces

You are responsible for informing Dr Clean of any surface, fixture, furnishing, or material that requires special manufacturer instructions or unusual care when that requirement would not be obvious to a reasonable cleaning professional.

Dr Clean may decline to use customer-supplied products or methods when a cleaning professional believes they may be unsafe or unsuitable.

12. Existing Damage and Wear

Ordinary residential cleaning cannot reverse permanent staining, discoloration, corrosion, scratches, worn finishes, damaged grout, deteriorated caulk, broken fixtures, or other pre-existing damage.

If a cleaning professional notices significant pre-existing damage, Dr Clean may document it before or during service.

13. Children and Other Occupants

Customers are responsible for ensuring that children, guests, contractors, and other occupants do not create unsafe working conditions or materially prevent the cleaning professional from performing the booked service.

Cleaning professionals are not responsible for supervising children, pets, guests, or other occupants.

14. Photos and Service Documentation

Dr Clean or a cleaning professional may take limited photographs or create notes when reasonably necessary for quality control, service verification, safety, access documentation, or damage documentation.

Identifiable interior photographs will not be used for public advertising or marketing without appropriate permission.

15. Right to Refuse or Stop Service

Dr Clean and its cleaning professionals may refuse to begin, may skip affected areas, or may stop a service when conditions are unsafe, unlawful, materially different from the booked service, or inconsistent with these Service Conditions.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate with the customer when a material service issue arises.

16. Customer Conduct

Cleaning professionals are entitled to a safe and respectful work environment. Harassment, threats, discriminatory conduct, sexual or otherwise inappropriate behavior, intimidation, or other abusive conduct may result in immediate termination of the service and refusal of future service.

17. Satisfaction Concerns

If you believe an included area was missed or not cleaned to a reasonable standard, contact support@drcleanatl.com within 24 hours after service. When appropriate, Dr Clean may arrange a reasonable re-clean of the affected area in accordance with the Terms of Service.
